You can use HTML Viewer Cat for personal and commercial projects under the terms below.
What you can do
- Use it freely — for any project, commercial or personal, no attribution required.
- Share the URL fragment links it generates.
- Embed or screenshot the rendered output for your own work.
What you can't do
- Mass-scrape the site or hit the rate-limited endpoints in a loop.
- Repackage the tool as a paid product without giving notice and credit.
- Upload illegal content, malware, or anything that violates a third party's rights.
No warranty
The tool is provided as-is. It runs in your browser, so it depends on your browser working correctly. I make a reasonable effort to keep it stable but I don't promise uptime, backwards-compatible URLs, or persistence of any data you put into it. Don't use it as the sole storage for anything irreplaceable.
Privacy and data
There is no account system, and rendering does not upload your source to us. Drafts and preferences are stored in your browser. Analytics is cookieless by default; accepting the banner enables an analytics cookie. You can change that choice in the privacy policy.
Changes
Last updated 2026-09-10. Material changes are announced in the changelog. If something looks broken or unfair, get in touch through the about page.
